I left for the New England and Canada knitting cruise on May 15th.
My surreal spring has been one of profound loss sandwiched by two great trips.
So, here are a few photos from the cruise, which turned out to provide some time for me to decompress.
Rose the Gypsy took good care of me.
Bar Harbor, Maine:
Lucy Neatby's House (Halifax, Nova Scotia):
The cemetery where some of the Titanic victims are buried (still Halifax):
Handmaiden hand-dyed yarns out to dry (also Halifax):
An exhibit in Halifax that opened up for us:
Some purchases - Rose the Gypsy leans toward softer colors, I go for the over-dyed ones:
Decompressing in The Crow's Nest:
Barry from Boston in the piano bar:
Belfast Mini-Mills on Prince Edward Island:
Monkey towel in our stateroom:
Quebec City (the coldest place we visited!):
The Boat:
I knit a bit too, and got a shawl finished (ok, the ends are not woven in, but it's still finished):
That's it for now. Not sure where I'll go next, or when ...

Oh I am so sorry about your Aunt. Losing the two women in your life is hard. I am glad you got good care on the cruise, it looks wonderful. Take care of yourself.
Okay, I like ice cream and I like lobster, but I don't want to think of them together. Not even in that sort of mascot-y display. :)
I am super-impressed by the albino peacock.
Welcome back. May your spring improve.
Great photos, and I am glad you were able to go on the cruise. Sounds like it was just what you needed. Albino peacock? Who knew?
Thanks everyone <3
