I was not kidding.
Finished jury duty today.
We were sequestered 'till after lunch.
Eating lunch with the sheriff's deputies nearby is weird.
Found the defendant guilty of all three offenses.
Three felonies.
Really sad. Very exhausting. Glad I don't have to do that again for at least four years.
I started jury duty today.
And of all the weird and creepy coincidences, today just happens to mark 45 years since my dad collapsed while waiting for the elevator at lunchtime in the (old) courthouse.
He did not survive the heart attack.
I didn't figure out that little coincidence 'till yesterday.
