Volunteering and Knitting and Volunteering

I volunteered for The Guild at Shepherd's Harvest yesterday. It was fun to see all the pretties, and talk with people about the awesomeness of knitting.   I did not purchase yarn but I did purchase a couple of things. Tools, bags and gifts are not part of the yarn diet.  Because I said so and I make the rules :)

This bag came with a gift purchase.  I will keep the bag because I don't have enough bags...

All three of my African violets are in bloom.  I don't believe this has ever happened before.  The two pinks are actually very different pinks, even though it doesn't look like it in the photo.

I decided to full this shawl because it was growing into an unmanageable size.  It turned out really nice.

The mink stole has officially been started.  Now all I have to figure out is how she means to make two out of three stitches.  I'm feeling like I should put it away because I'm sure it's simple but I can't figure it out at the moment.

I finished the socks that inspired me to learn the Fish Lips Kiss Heel.  I have a second pair over halfway done with both FLK heels complete.  I'm really glad I learned the technique because I always hated seeing beautiful patterning ruined with pooling at heel time.  Problem solved.

The blankie is coming along nicely, and Chelsea gave me a ton of yarn.   There should be leftover leftovers which, if no one else is making a leftover sock yarn blanket when I finish, Girl-Child will be happy to have, I'm sure.

I also volunteered at the downtown library today, as I normally do on Sundays.  There was a problem patron who became violent and was taken out of the building in handcuffs.   I'm glad I don't work in a public library :(

Ooh, I like the bag. Keeping it was a wise decision.

Love the bag! Remind me to tell you about the guy who got kicked out of EVERY LIBRARY IN THE COUNTY back in the early aughts. I see him peacefully at the library now; apparently he turned over a new leaf.

Sorry I missed you at SH - I got there right at 10 and was in and out in about an hour. On may way to the barn. I bought only gifts and a couple of project bags. Have to support small businesses, right?
