This past weekend was the annual Minnesota Knitters' Days at Frontenac.
I got a photo-op with the Pope (nice of him to visit us):
The grounds at Villa Maria are lovely:
I got to walk the labyrinth.
Lots to think about this year.
The colors were past peak but still very nice.
It is a little intimidating to be around so many knitters with super-skills.
I took a few pics of people's backs.
There may be a pattern available for this one in a year or two.
This one was a gift during our Friday evening activity:
I still love cables.
There was a lot of color work too.
Knowing color work was a prerequisite for this year's class. I faked it.
I got further along on the project this year than I ever have before though, in spite of the fact it was two color knitting - a Norwegian slipper (so far so good).
I also started a scarf using alpaca from a local farm.
My Friday night gift was ShiBui yarn.
And I was also gifted a set of salt and peppers to add to my collection :D
Finally, this was our Betsy gift this year. She made everyone a little sweater ornament.
It was a great weekend.
